Wi-Fi Access Point Compatibility

AirSuite sensor compatibility with Wi-Fi access points

AirSuite Wi-Fi devices (AirSuite Sense Wi-Fi, formerly known as Classmate Pro) support all standard consumer-grade Wi-Fi access points with the following Wi-Fi configurations:

• WPA2/Mixed/Open
• 2.4 GHz, 802.11 b/g/n
• Channels 1-11 (the global regulatory domain)

Please note that AirSuite devices do not currently support the following Wi-Fi configurations:

• WPA3
• 5GHz-only networks
• Channels 12 and above (outside the global regulatory domain)

If your Wi-Fi access point has an incompatible configuration (an unsupported band or channel) it is unlikely to appear in the nearby Wi-Fi network scan results.

In enterprise deployments, please also ensure that firewall settings permit AirSuite devices to access the Internet on the following ports:

• Port 53 (DNS)
• Port 123 (NTP)
• Port 443 (TCP/HTTPS)
